Ennis-Flint Partners with SARAH in Major Road Safety Initiative

Australia’s largest manufacturer and distributor of pavement and road marking materials, Ennis-Flint, has announced a major sponsorship commitment to SARAH (Safer Australian Roads and Highways), one of the country’s peak road safety bodies. Ennis-Flint, the worldwide leader in the traffic safety and pavement marking industry has a history of almost 90 years at the forefront of developing and producing quality products that lead the traffic safety industry in performance and reliability.

Its newly formed relationship with SARAH is seen as a natural synergy and a further endorsement of the company’s goal to help make roads, airports and pedestrian areas safer for everyone.  As part of its sponsorship Ennis-Flint will be a major supporter of SARAH's 2017 Yellow Ribbon National Road Safety Week (May 8 to 14), part of the 2017 UN Global Road Safety Week.  SARAH was founded in 2012 and is a not-for-profit association whose mission is to improve road safety and support those affected by road tragedy.

SARAH’s core commitment is to the Vision Zero Initiative, the highly successful Swedish approach to road safety – No Loss of Life is Acceptable. The thinking behind this is simple – “we are human and make mistakes. Therefore the road system should be designed to protect us at every turn. The decision to partner with SARAH was an easy one – our goals are the same in terms of road safety for all Australians. Their commitment is to raise awareness and promote initiatives in improved road safety. Ennis-Flint’s is to redefine the road in order to improve safety for every Australian. The synergy is there, the commitment is real. We look forward to a long and successful partnership,” said Rod Tweed, Ennis-Flint’s managing director (Asia Pacific).

Peter Frazer, president of SARAH said, “Commitment to safety is at the heart of everything Ennis-Flint does. We are truly honoured that they are supporting our road safety endeavours.”
